I have been training with Katie for close to two years now. I had recently competed in a figure competition and the diet that I followed wrecked my metabolism. I gained over 20 pounds afterwards and could not lose weight. I was so unhappy with myself. I had been following Katie on Instagram because she’s freaking awesome, and so I decided to email her. She responded so quickly, answered all of my questions, and it just felt right. I knew she would be a great coach for me.
We reverse dieted for almost 9 months, and I gained a lot of strength. Katie always answered my hundreds on questions and gave me reasons as to why we were doing this and that. I decided I wanted to compete in a powerlifting competition, and we started a program for that. Over the course of time, I lost my 20 pounds, and ended up with the VA state record for squat and bench press at my competition. I could not have done any of this without Katie. She has given me an entire new perspective on training, eating, and my life in general. I have finally become happy with myself again. I am confident in the gym. I now have a healthy relationship with food, and I don’t obsess over the number on the scale.
