Counting macros and going out to eat... It can be easy to just throw in the towel and give up on tracking because you feel overwhelmed. However, did you know that a LOT ( I mean MOST now a days!) of restaurants have their nutrition listed online?

How do I eat out and still track macros? Generally, I will look up a restaurant's nutrition guide online. For example, ALL of Tim Horton's donuts have nutrition listed online (see below). And as you all know, donuts are my favorite. :D

You can look up every item on the menu!

From there, I use the feature in My Macros + (https://www.getmymacros.com) called a "Fast Track" to quickly add those macros (protein, carbs, and fats) of the item or items that I chose. See below for what a "fast track" looks like.

Quickly add a meal based on the nutritional information you found online for any food and add it to your daily log! You can name it accordingly.

For Chipotle, they actually have a built in nutritional calculator! I love to build my own burrito bowl and then "Fast Track" the nutritional information into My Macros +.

I will show below what I chose to add to my burrito. Total nutrition for a burrito bowl with steak, black beans, brown rice, fajita veggies, corn and tomato salsa, guacamole (YEA I KNOW IT'S EXTRA), and lettuce.

38 PROTONZ | 37 FAT (with a full serving of guac) | 89 CARBS | 28 FIBER (wooooah)

Once you track macros consistently for awhile, it becomes easier and easier. Eating out does not have to be daunting. You can still have donuts and get all the guac gains :)
